PharmaFluor® FEP Low Absorption Tubing

PharmaFluor® FEP is an extremely inert fluoropolymer tubing that meets the demands of biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical and laboratory applications. PharmaFluor FEP has outstanding chemical and physical characteristics and can be used in a broad range of temperatures, from -100°F (-73°C) to 400°F (203°C).

Applications

Sterile filling and dispensing systems

Insulin Production

Diagnostic equipment

General laboratory use Cell and tissue culture transport

Analytical and process equipment in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and environmental fields

Low Sorption and Chemically Inert

PharmaFluor® FEP will resist the absorption/adsorption of fluids, which minimizes the risk of fluid alteration in single use or repeat use bioprocessing applications. PharmaFluor tubing is also virtually unaffected by chemical sanitizers and cleaners and can be cleaned repeatedly without decreasing its service life.

Fully Characterized and Biocompatible

PharmaFluor® FEP comes complete with biocompatible, physiochemical and extractable testing which can be found in the Validation Guide Summary on the Saint-Gobain Bioprocess Solutions website.

The values listed for working and burst pressures are derived from tests conducted under controlled laboratory conditions. Many factors will reduce the tubing’s ability to withstand pressures including temperature, chemical attack, stress, pulsation and the attachment to fittings. It is imperative that the user conduct tests simulating the conditions of the application prior to specifying the tubing for use.
